Hit him, and you're the one who falls. The Reflection Shinjutsu automatically sends back any attack, and even any hostile intent, in proportion to its power: Daemon is almost untouchable. Behind his childlike looks hides a cyborg created by Amado from the DNA and Shinjutsu of Shibai Otsutsuki, Eida's little brother and immune to her charm. This profile breaks down his flaw, a purely reactive counter that requires palm contact, and his journey from stasis to Konoha.

Hit him, and you're the one who falls. Daemon automatically reflects every attack back at his attacker, which makes him almost impossible to touch. Behind his childlike looks hides the muscle of the duo he forms with his sister, secretly working for Amado.

The Cyborg Little Brother

Daemon is a cyborg created by the scientist Amado, carrying fragments of Shibai Otsutsuki's DNA — the same source as his sister Eida. Despite the appearance of a child, he is not a human child.

Amado designed him, like the others, as part of his secret plan to bring down Isshiki and his host Jigen.

Close-up on the face of a child with green hair streaked with pink and purple eyes with golden pupils, a smirk on his lips, the collar of a red sweatshirt turned up.
The appearance is that of a child: the body, however, was assembled by Amado from fragments of Otsutsuki DNA.

The Reflection Power

His Shinjutsu, Reflection, automatically sends back to the attacker any attack aimed at him — down to the mere intent to strike him. Better still: the power of the reflection is proportional to the killing intent.

A tap is sent back as a tap, a lethal blow sent back lethally. The result: he is almost invincible on defense, and Amado judges him more powerful in combat than Jigen — to the point of crushing Code at full power.

A Flaw: Contact

This invincibility does have a limit, though, revealed in the manga against Code: to reflect, Daemon must be in physical contact — his palms placed on someone, no matter who.

Hence the fact that he often fights while being carried on his sister's back or on Code's. On his own, he is far less formidable. He can also be reached without killing intent, or indirectly.

A child with green hair in a red sweatshirt places both hands on the head of a red-haired man in a dark coat, lying on cracked rock.
Everything rests on this gesture: without his palms placed on someone, the reflection does not trigger.

The Fighter of the Duo

Daemon should not be confused with his big sister Eida: that is the most common mistake. She is the clairvoyant and the strategist; he is the duo's pure physical fighter.

As a blood relative, Daemon is also one of the few immune to his sister's charm. He shows her absolute loyalty, placing her happiness above all else.

A young woman with long blue hair streaked with pink holds against her a child with green hair wearing a red sweatshirt.
The two halves of the duo: clairvoyance and strategy on one side, raw strength on the other.

From Stasis to Konoha

Deemed too dangerous, the duo was sentenced by Isshiki. But Boro, who was in love with Eida, secretly hid the two in stasis rather than destroying them. They would be woken up later to join Code.

At the end of the first part of Boruto, Eida and Daemon settle in Konoha; on their arrival, Daemon provokes and knocks out Boruto and Kawaki. In Two Blue Vortex, he becomes a key fighter for the village — but his stamina is not infinite.

Seen from behind, a woman with long blue hair and a red-haired man in a dark cape face a metal capsule with a porthole, steam escaping from it.
Coming out of stasis: the capsule where the duo had been hidden is reopened much later, to join Code.

FAQ

  • Who is Daemon and who created him?
A cyborg created by the scientist Amado, given fragments of DNA and a Shinjutsu taken from Shibai Otsutsuki. He is Eida's little brother: he has the appearance of a child, but he is not a human child.
  • How does his Reflection power work?
He automatically sends back every attack — and even the mere hostile intent — at the attacker, with a force proportional to the killing intent. That makes him almost invincible on defense: offensive taijutsu and ninjutsu are useless against him.
  • Is Daemon really unbeatable? What is his flaw?
No. The manga establishes, during his conflict with Code, that he must be in physical contact — his palms placed on someone — to reflect; on his own, he is far more vulnerable, hence the fact that he often fights while being carried on someone's back. You can also try to reach him indirectly or without killing intent.
  • Why isn't he in love with Eida, unlike almost everyone else?
Because he is her blood relative: Eida's blood relatives, like carriers of Otsutsuki DNA, escape her charm — which is the manifestation of her Omnipotence — as well as the memory rewriting of that same Omnipotence.
  • Where does Daemon stand in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?
Settled in Konoha with Eida since the end of the first part, he is one of its most powerful fighters. But his stamina is not infinite: facing an army of more than a thousand clones, he eventually tires. Since the manga is ongoing, this status may change.

In summary

Daemon is a walking paradox: a laughing child with near-absolute power, whose only weakness is having to touch in order to defend himself. The muscle of an inseparable duo, he is a reminder that, with Amado, the most terrible weapons wear a child's face — and have a heart turned toward a single person.
