OrganizationBorutoDeepa
His densified skin reaches the hardness of diamond. Deepa, the seventh-ranked Inner of Kara, manipulates carbon: absorption, densification, offensive pellets. Against him, Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki are crushed without ever scratching him, before a rematch in the second fight. A rare quirk: the character is exclusive to the Boruto anime, absent from the manga, a detail that changes how this wholly original arc reads.
A skin harder than diamond: Deepa is one of the most humiliating opponents ever faced by the team of Boruto. An Inner of Kara, he has the distinction of existing only in the anime.

An anime-only Inner
Deepa is a character entirely original to the anime Boruto, created for an arc devoted to Kara. He is absent from the manga, from Two Blue Vortex, the movies, the novels and the databooks.
In the series, he holds the seventh position among the Inners — a Roman numeral tattooed on his face — a slot left vacant by the manga.

Carbon manipulation
His power rests on carbon: he absorbs it into his body and freely controls the carbon around him, densifying it to extreme molecular bonds — all the way to the hardness of diamond.
He fires off pellets and blades in massive barrages, hardens his fists and covers himself with a skin that nothing seems able to scratch. Note: the base is carbon, and diamond is only its most densified state.

Working for Victor
Deepa does the fieldwork for Victor, the Inner who runs a front medical company in the Land of Valleys and is trying to grow a replica of the God Tree.
His mission: to recover the cell of Hashirama needed for the project. That is what puts him in the path of the Konoha team.

Humiliation, then revenge
The first fight is a slaughter: Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki are crushed without ever scratching him. Mitsuki is badly wounded and Deepa leaves with the cell.
The rematch comes after a training arc: a high-compression Rasengan, fueled by the chakra of Sarada and Mitsuki, finally breaks his armor. It is then the rubble from the collapse of the complex that finishes him off — a victory won by three, never by Boruto alone.

Not to be confused
Two confusions to clear up. Deepa is not Delta — she is a cyborg who appears in the manga as well as the anime, with eyes able to absorb techniques.
And he must not be placed on the same canonical footing as Code, Amado or the other Inners who come from the manga: Deepa is, along with Oga, one of the two Inners created by the anime.

| Against Boruto's team | First fight: he crushes Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki without being scratched, badly wounds Mitsuki and leaves with the Hashirama cell. |
| Defeat and end | Second fight: Boruto's high-compression Rasengan, fueled by the chakra of Sarada and Mitsuki, breaks his armor. He is finished off by the collapse of the complex — a victory won by three. |
FAQ
-
Does Deepa appear in the Boruto manga? No. Deepa is a wholly original character of the Boruto anime, created for the arc devoted to Kara. He is absent from the manga, from Two Blue Vortex, the movies, the novels and the databooks.
-
What exactly is Deepa's power? He manipulates carbon. He absorbs it into his body and freely controls the carbon around him, densifying it to extreme molecular bonds — all the way to the hardness of diamond. This lets him fire pellets and blades, harden his fists and cover himself with a near-impenetrable skin.
-
How did Boruto's team finally beat him?In two stages. In the first fight, Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki are crushed without ever scratching him, and Deepa leaves with the Hashirama cell. After a training arc, a high-compression Rasengan fueled by the chakra of Sarada and Mitsuki finally breaks his armor: it is a victory won by three, not by Boruto alone.
-
What is the connection between Deepa and Victor? Both are Inners of Kara. Victor, who heads a medical equipment company in the Land of Valleys, is trying to grow an artificial replica of the God Tree from the Hashirama cell, and Deepa does the fieldwork for him.
-
Is Deepa dead?Yes. The combined attack of the three genin breaks his armor and takes him out of the fight; he is then crushed by the rubble when the complex collapses — it is the debris, not the Rasengan, that finishes him off.
In summary
Deepa will remain the opponent who taught the new Team 7 humility: a total defeat, then a victory wrested by all three of them. Created by the anime, he does not carry the canonical weight of the manga's Inners — but he offers one of the rare fights where the children of Konoha really do have to start everything over from scratch.
